Quick Update - Added Google Analytics to track activity
Hi everyone! I just wanted to update you quickly that I have added Google Analytics to the footer of the site. This is a requirement of Google (to be in the footer I mean), and, while I don’t expect a heap of traffic right away, I am looking forward to seeing the progress. You can help by checking back frequently (I try to update everyday) and this will help me to know if this site is useful to newbies to blogging like me.
Google Analytics is an important and powerful tool that allows for all your traffic data to be gathered, analyzed, and then sorted into wonderfully easy-to-read reports. Now, while most people only look at the traffic, you can use the reports to see incredibly important data about what people are looking at, how long they stay, where do they jump off, where they enter. It shows whether they come directly to your site, via a search engine, or from a link. Really useful stuff.
I don’t want to pidgeon-hole your thought process to only think about these things, since there is so much more, but I highly recommend adding tthe Analytics to your Google account options.
