Uncategorized Sorry about not keeping up with this blog. I promise, this will change. I had begun something, and then personal everyday life got in the way. Now that this is dealt with, I will get back to the important things - making a living by blogging. I’ve added a new twist in the meantime, and that is promoting your blog using social media, like Twitter and Facebook, and soon… LinkedIn.

In the beginning Hi everyone! I just wanted to update you quickly that I have added Google Analytics to the footer of the site. This is a requirement of Google (to be in the footer I mean), and, while I don’t expect a heap of traffic right away, I am looking forward to seeing the progress. You can help by checking back frequently (I try to update everyday) and this will help me to know if this site is useful to newbies to blogging like me.

In the beginning Well, I signed up with Google today so that I could take advantage of their webmaster tools, including the AdSense program (which I have yet to do… will keep you posted), so that I can begin to learn the methods of driving traffic and making money.

In the beginning Well, there’s the million dollar question (well, maybe the thousand dollar question)! There are so many domain names already taken, but if you are creative, then you can find one that suits you.
And, do you really want to have your own domain. Well, I do because it adds credibility and professionalism to an otherwise meaningless endeavor (at first at least). Too, you can really make a mark with your blog, and it would be a shame if you become famous with your blog, but have a loser name. It can really enhance your market value and brand, if the domain name is catchy and easy to remember.

In the beginning This was a long and laborious search. The first decision I had to make was whether or not to use a free blog web site, like Blogger.com or WordPress.com. They provide very simple and easy tools to start a blog. A lot of people use these tools.
I needed to be able to control the templates, design, and also place advertising on the blog (e.g. the ability to blog for funds). ;-) I also wanted as much control as I could over adding widgets so that I could test them out, and then write my results for your benefit. Read more…

In the beginning 
MAKE MONEY BLOGGING
I decided to write a blog because I already run a number of web sites that bring in income, and I wanted to diversify the way I do it. You see, I would like to retire to Mexico and have an income that will let me be free to volunteer my time helping people. (I know… sappy, but it’s true).
Anyway, with this blog I will walk you through the same steps I have gone through. While I won’t get into the boring details of coding and design (that’s your personal choice to learn), I will focus on my thought process so you can see if it is the same as yours.
My successes can be your successes. My failure doesn’t have to touch you since you will read about it here first.
I hope you learn something. Most of all I hope you find out how to make money with a blog since we all would like the funds to live out our dreams. Like Pedro said, “I will make all your dreams come true.”
